BCV staff in front of Southwest Healthcare entrance Ideas sharing forum discussion circles Ideas Sharing Forum presentation lecture

From 13 February to 8 March, Better Care Victoria (BCV) held a series of ideas sharing forums in metro and regional Victoria – visiting Bendigo, Horsham, Traralgon, Wangaratta and Warrnambool.

These visits facilitated innovative ideas sharing between services whilst showcasing upcoming BCV activities and initiatives. The forums offered attendees an opportunity to hear from a 2016-17 Innovation Fund project, learn about the 2017-18 Innovation Fund, and provide feedback on BCV’s draft Capability for Innovation and Improvement strategy 2016-2020 (the draft strategy), and more broadly on how BCV can support innovation and improvement in their region.

Over 350 people attended the forums from primary health networks, community health and health services, including a diverse range of clinicians, administrators, redesign leads, executive staff and some consumers. BCV received positive feedback highlighting that the forums provided genuine networking opportunities for health services facing similar problems and a chance to have a say about how BCV can help.

Feedback on the draft strategy will be reviewed by the BCV team to inform the final version of the Capability Strategy. To download a copy of the draft strategy, visit our Capability Strategy page.

BCV’s 2017-18 Innovation Fund expression of interest (EOI) is now open until Thursday 20 April 5 pm. For more information on the EOI, and to obtain a copy of BCV's metro ideas sharing forum presentation, visit our Innovation Fund pages.
